From the online service for the Arizona Daily Star:
“‘Arizona’s Beach’ will now be only a short flight away.
A new international airport in Puerto Peñasco — also known as Rocky Point — is to open next week. Initially, there will be service for private and executive flights, and the hope is to have commercial flights to and from Tucson, Phoenix and Hermosillo beginning in January…” Click here for the full story!

The Rocky Point Renewathon was, once again, a great success. We had a great time going on a Dinner Cruise and the Fiesta was super with great entertainment. The weather was beautiful the whole time and the only thing we missed was YOU, MAYBE NEXT MAY! Read on for some thoughts from people who attended.
Dave & Linda
Dave, thanks for a great renewathon last week. It is always a great pleasure to attend and you make a dull subject much more interesting than most other instructors. I always enjoy your classes and will see you in another two years.
Toby Farrel, Montana Vista Realty
The Rocky Point Renewathon was a mix of learning, good humor and a great place to hold a meeting. David has a way with analogies that holds your attention and makes somewhat “dry” material interesting. This was my second trip to Rocky Point for the renewal classes in the last two years and I expect to do it again.
Ken Heffron, Tierra Antigua Realty
David, I just wanted to thank you for the great hospitality and comfortable learning experience. I was dreading the idea of 24 hours of classes in 4 days but you made it a breeze and very enjoyable. I can say that I was 100% satisfied with the way that everything was handled. I am a lifer now and look forward to seeing you and your lovely wife Linda each year. What a great way to get my CEU credits while vacationing in Rocky Point.
Kurt Geisler, BROKER/OWNER, Licensed Sonora Mexico Realtor
I’ve always heard about the McVay Renewathon held down in Rocky Point. Since I now live here, I decided to give it a try. Never in my wildest dreams did I think it would be such a great time. David has such a great sense of humor making the classes so enjoyable, and still educational! Linda is the great organizer so everything goes perfectly. What a team! I’ll definitely be back next year! Thank You Both! Mary Kay Everroad, Sonoran Resorts, Rocky Point

I’ve included a letter from one of our past attendees in today’s post to share why so many real estate professionals enjoy completing their hours at our Rocky Point Renewathon. We would love to share the experience with you!
Dear David,
I thoroughly enjoyed the Rocky Point Renewathon. You always have an outstanding group of guest instructors. Our small board cannot afford to hire these professionals to come to our community and this is the only chance I have to hear them.
To be able to get my entire hours in such a relaxed and friendly atmosphere is certainly a joy. What a wonderful opportunity to network with some of Arizona’s top producers from so many different areas of our state. The connections I made will pay for my education many times over.
And, what a beautiful, luxurious, safe, and fun resort town Rocky Point is. Please continue your outstanding school. See you there.
Sincerely,
Kerry Raymond

I love this time of year in Rocky Point because the ocean is so beautiful and it’s warm enough to get in the water. EVERYONE needs a vacation and this is a great time to relax by the beautiful Sea of Cortez, eat shrimp, quesadillas, drink beer & margaritas…what could be better?
My favorite place to shop is Mercedes (across from the Friendly Dolphin Restaurante). Mercedes is adorable and has so much STUFF you could shop all day (David isn’t so happy about that!) There are also so many good places to eat now. You could go out for every meal and enjoy it. We even like the taco stands (certain ones, of course)! If you like Fish & Chips, the place to go is a restaurant off the beaten path called Ramon’s Restaurante. Pick up a copy of the Rocky Point Times newspaper which is free in most real estate offices or convenience stores for pages of restaurants and maps.
If you’re looking for water sports and entertainment, we recommend Mike and Lea at Sea Fari Tours, and Tammy and Roland, at Kayak Rocky Point. Visit their website, http://www.seafarirockypoint.com/, for more information. For a great time with the whole family, check out the Pirate Ship. Our grandson (8 years old at the time) won 2nd place in the dance “competition”!
I hope I have encouraged you to come to Rocky Point (especially for the Renewathon)!

Everyday in seminars, I am asked “Do you feel safe in Mexico”? Linda & I have owned a home and have driven to Puerto Penasco (Rocky Point) for years. To date, we have never had a problem. I have been burglarized in San Diego, robbed in Tucson and stolen from in Phoenix….not in Rocky Point.
We also do not break the rules. We drive during daylight hours and we’re not out drunk in the early morning. Don’t let the news media frighten us. Life’s too short!
See you in Rocky Point; maybe our Renewathon, or maybe you would like to rent our home? If you do, ask for the McVay discount.
